Do you know how hard it is for women filmmakers to get their share of voice and funding in the industry? My friend Robin Hauser is like a salmon running upstream.

As the visionary behind Finish Line Feature Films, Robin is a catalyst for cause-based documentary filmmaking telling important stories that raise awareness for pressing social issues by educating audiences and motivating responses that make an impact.

Robin is currently making Thaw, a documentary about the rising trend of elective egg freezing and the future of fertility.

For her past award-winning films she partnered with top US companies and foundations to inspire and impact audiences on a global scale.

She’s looking to do the same with Thaw.

Her nonprofit production company Unleashed Productions received a grant from Pivotal Ventures, led by Melinda French Gates which supported her film, Bias. The film forced audiences to confront their own bias.

Get Robin’s perspective on the question “Can we protect AI from our biases?” in her TED Talk streamed by almost 60,000 people since its debut in 2017 – way ahead of when most people, especially women, were talking about AI in a meaningful way.
